Amir Husain · software I wrote

A cricket game, written for the pleasure of writing it. The ball swings in and out and the machine varies the pace at random, and what you score depends on where the bat meets it and how much movement you have put on the shot.

The keyboard is split down the middle, the bowler working the left half and the batsman the right. The bowler sets line and length, picks leg spin or off spin and chooses the pace, so the delivery arrives turning rather than running down one track. It was built that way so it could be played against a five-year-old.

Reading the demonstration

The players share the keyboard. The bowler selects the delivery; the batsman adjusts the shot. Watch the changing line and pace of the ball.
